Services

To become a good athlete's parent, you first have to get to know yourself, know your limits and, above all, understand your different roles. Sometimes talking to other parents isn't enough. We need someone outside the situation to help us analyze our behaviors and get in touch with our emotions. My role is to work with you to create the best conditions for your athlete to develop to the height of his or her talent.

As a consultant, I offer the following services:

- Offer support in learning how to manage emotions during the various stages of an athlete's career (e.g.: aligning the athlete's goals with those of his or her parents, taking into account the financial reality and the choices to be made).

- Offer psychosocial support to resolve impasses, relational difficulties and communication problems (e.g.: another parent insults my child, or the coach forbids me to be on the sidelines to encourage my child...I don't know what to do!)

- Offer a listening ear to help maintain a balance within the couple or the family (e.g.: mother and father don't see the athlete's career path in the same way).

- Help you develop your strengths and qualities as a coach (e.g.: it's the process that counts, not the result!).

- Offer the tools and resources needed to accompany the athlete along the way (e.g.: provide information on the scholarship system, medical insurance coverage).

- Help the athlete make the best choices (e.g.: sports versus studies, setting realistic goals and deadlines!)
